STAMPEDE PARK TERMS OF ENTRY

Welcome to the Calgary StampedeTo ensure the best possible experience for all of our guests, we ask that you conduct yourself according to all applicable laws as well as all of the rules, guidelines and policies of the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede Limited ("CE&S"), including those listed below, and those posted within Stampede Park (collectively, the "Rules").

Your access to or attendance at Stampede Park is conditional on your acceptance of the Rules. Thank you for joining us and we hope you enjoy your visit!

1. RULES
  1. Tickets, SuperPasses and other entitlements are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, revocable and void if altered. Tickets, SuperPasses, coupons, vouchers, passes and the like that are lost, stolen or fraudulent will not be honoured.

  2. All persons, bags, parcels, clothing and other items may be subject to screening/security checks at Stampede Park entrances and also within the Park.

  3. Guests declining to be searched will not be permitted into Stampede Park.

  4. We reserve the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other items to be brought into Stampede Park, and to deal with any unattended object in such way as we consider appropriate. Non-permitted items should be kept at home, stored in your vehicle, or can be voluntarily surrendered at the entrance. Surrendered items will not be returned.

  5. Please show common courtesy to fellow Stampede Park guests, volunteers and employees by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behaviour.

  6. For the comfort of all guests, smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapour or smoke are allowed only in designated smoking areas. Marijuana (for medical purposes or otherwise) and illegal drugs may NOT be consumed on Stampede Park property.

  7. In keeping with our family-friendly atmosphere, proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. Clothing with rude, vulgar, offensive language or graphics and images/emblems that can be identified as gang colours are not permitted. These items of clothing must be removed or turned inside-out. If in doing so the results do not meet the Calgary Stampede’s Terms of Entry you may be asked to leave Stampede Property.

  8. Bikini/bathing suit tops must be covered up while on Stampede Park. Sheer, mesh and see-through clothing cannot be used as a cover-up over bathing suits.

  9. Laws prohibiting consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors, illegal drugs, and disorderly conduct of any kind will be strictly enforced. All guests are encouraged to drink responsibly. Please don’t drink and drive.

  10. Access to attractions depends upon the safety rules for each attraction.

  11. Amusement rides will be available at Stampede Park during the Calgary Stampede. There is an inherent risk in participating in any such rides. We expect our guests who seek to enjoy such rides to:

    1. Exercise good judgment

    2. Act in a responsible manner

    3. Comply with all specific guidelines posted at the entrance of every ride

    4. Obey all oral and written warnings

    5. Properly use all ride safety equipment provided

2. TERMS OF ENTRY
  1. We endeavour to make your time at Stampede Park as safe and enjoyable as possible. Nevertheless, please be aware that there are risks inherent to your visit. By entering or otherwise attending Stampede Park, you agree that you voluntarily assume all risks and dangers connected to, associated with, or incidental to your presence at Stampede Park.

  2. We may photograph, film, videotape, record or otherwise reproduce the image and/or voice of any person who enters Stampede Park and/or attends Calgary Stampede produced events and use the same for any purpose without payment to any person.

    1. You consent to be photographed, filmed and/or otherwise recorded in connection with, or as part of, CE&S’ journalistic, advertising, marketing, promotional, archival and/or security activities;

    2. You consent to such photography, filming and/or recording, including the use of UAV(unmanned aerial vehicle) / drone which may be used to capture footage and will be flown in close proximity on park. And to any use, in any and all media, throughout the world in perpetuity, without compensation to you, of your appearance, voice and/or name for the above-noted purposes;

    3. You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on these consents given by you by entering Stampede Park; andTo protect, among other things, the personal information of our guests, you agree: (i) not to reproduce, perform, display or upload any photographs, videos and/or recordings, that you may take or record while at the Calgary Stampede; and (ii) upon our request, to immediately remove and/or delete any and all such photographs, videos and/or recording online or from any other media.

    4. Please contact us at 403.261.0101 if you have any questions about how the Calgary Stampede may take and/or use such photographs, videos and/or recordings.

  3. Our re-entry guidelines are as follows:

    1. A hand-stamp is available at each exit and will provide re-entry for the same day it was issued

    2. Hand stamps are available during regular Park operating hours and are limited to times where paid admission is in effect

    3. Hand stamps are not available during free admission times

    4. We reserve the right to refuse entry for illegible re-entry stamps

  4. Admission is not guaranteed in the event of a force majeure.

  5. You acknowledge and agree that your admission to and attendance at Stampede Park is conditional upon your compliance with all Rules, including for greater certainty, all applicable laws, by-laws and posted facility rules (including these rules and terms of entry).

  6. We reserve the right to deny admission or to require a person already admitted to leave Stampede Park, without refund, liability or compensation if we consider that the circumstances so require.

  7. We may from time to time, without prior notice and without refund, liability or compensation, change the operating hours of Stampede Park or any attraction, close Stampede Park or any part of it temporarily, restrict the number of persons having access to Stampede Park, and/or suspend or cancel any attraction or entertainment program if we consider that the circumstances so require.

  8. Stampede Park ‘Rules’ and ‘Terms of Entry’ are subject to change without notice.

  9. Other important legal terms.

    1. You voluntarily assume all risks and dangers connected to, associated with or incidental to your attendance at Stampede Park, including your presence at an event at Stampede Park (an "Event").

    2. Under no circumstances will CE&S be responsible for any loss, injury (including personal injury), damages or liability that may arise out of or is any way connected to an Event or your attendance at Stampede Park.

    3. You hereby waive and release all claims or actions against CE&S or any of its sponsors, as well as against any of the respective affiliates, directors, officers, employees and volunteers of the CES or its sponsors, for any loss, injury (including personal injury), damages or liability that may arise out of or is any way connected to an Event or your attendance at Stampede Park, regardless of whether such loss, injury, damages or liability arises from negligence, libel, defamation, loss of privacy, or otherwise.

    4. Admission is not guaranteed in the event of a force majeure.

    5. You acknowledge and agree that your admission to and attendance at Stampede Park is conditional upon your compliance with all Rules, including for greater certainty, all applicable laws, by-laws, and posted facility rules (including these Rules and Guidelines).

    6. From time to time, changes may be made to these Rules and Guidelines too, for example, reflect changes in our legal or regulatory obligations. Revised versions of these Rules and Guidelines will be posted on this website. Accordingly, we encourage each of our guests to refer back to it on a regular basis prior to attending Stampede Park.

3. PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items may not be brought into Stampede Park:

  • All forms of knives/scissors/bladed items

  • Firearms/slingshots/ammunition

  • Replica firearms/ items that appear to be firearms

  • Hand tools/electric tools

  • Alcohol

  • Drugs/drug paraphernalia/illegal substances

  • Drones/RC devices

  • Skateboards/Segway’s/wheelies/shoes with wheels

  • Mace/pepper spray/bear spray

  • Paint/markers

  • Fireworks

  • Explosives/flammable items/ignition devises

  • Compressed and/or liquid gas/aerosol sprays 

  • Corrosive chemicals/flammable substances

  • Bicycles/scooters

  • Light emitting devices (lasers)

  • Banners/signs/voice amplification devices

  • Air horns/artificial noisemakers

  • Sporting Goods (baseball bats, hockey sticks, golf clubs, bows and arrows)

  • Masks

  • Pets /other animals except animals with a Service Dog Identification Card

  • Materials of an extremist/offensive /discriminatory nature

  • Padlocks/chains/zip ties/handcuffs

  • Flyers/samples/promotional items/giveaways

  • Glass containers /other containers in which their contents cannot be easily checked

  • Articles of clothing with offensive language/image

  • Any item deemed a danger/threat  to public safety

  • Please be advised that selfie sticks are prohibited from all midway rides. 

4. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

The following activities are not allowed:

  1. Acts of demonstration, solicitation, distribution or private sale of materials or event tickets on these premises are prohibited unless pre-authorized in writing by Calgary Exhibition & Stampede Ltd.

  2. The distribution of printed or recorded materials of any kind.

  3. Photography, videotaping or recording of any kind for commercial purposes.

  4. Engaging in any unsafe act that may impede the operation of Stampede Park or any associated venue.
